FY21 Cast Iron/Pipe Lining Project

The purpose of the FY21 Cast Iron/Pipe Lining project is to rehabilitate 15 cast iron pipe sections of sewer mains throughout the District’s collection system using a trenchless method called cured-in-place pipe.  Sewer mains with cast iron pipe segments are closely monitored and frequently cleaned, as severe corrosion can reduce pipe capacity and may cause a blockage in the main.  This rehabilitation method will allow the District to restore the sewer mains without having to dig up the streets.
