 The purpose of the Cathodic Protection System Improvements Project is to replace existing rectifiers, construct one new deep anode well, and destruct one existing deep anode well at the Alvarado Wastewater Treatment Plant and to install new buried sacrificial anodes at the Newark Pump Station. The upgraded cathodic protection systems will continue to provide corrosion protection of the District’s buried steel and iron pipelines and fittings.
